Express Entry (EE) is a key system for managing Canada’s federal economic immigration applications. Candidates must first be eligible for at least one of the CEC, FSW or FST programs before entering the Express Entry pool and being ranked under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). In recent years, IRCC’s invitation strategy has placed greater emphasis on Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), and category-based selection, with targeted categories such as French-language proficiency, healthcare and social services, STEM, trades and education.
